#099: Dailies 163 & 164 Tempo Books Paperback Edition

NEW POLL Added for seeking readers choice for the 100th post.
What would you like to see???

Interesting scan I came across when Derek asks Mandrake to take away his powers.... from a 1949 April NewsPaper (Toronto Star). This appears to be Daily 050 Derek. Anyone has it in English?
UPDATE: Pictures of the Paperback after scanning, kept book & binding intact...

Happy St.Patrick's Day!
Mandrake Daily stories published in Paperback!!
Published by Grosset & Dunlap in the comic book series Tempo Books - Mandrake the Magician.
I came across the book on eBay and was able to win it. Since Peder Bjorkmann mentions that this is very rare find, I decided to scan it and post it for the Mandrake fans around the world.
I thought of posting this earlier in the week, but have been tied up with many things (one of which is Kitchen Remodeling although the contractors are doing it is proving to be a very stressful experience)
Here are the 2 dailies presented in this book:
Daily 163: The Evil Twin From 16 Feb 1976 to 19 Jun 1976 for 18 Weeks &
Daily 164: Narda and The Sheik From 21 Jun 1976 to 18 Sep 1976 for 13 Weeks

To keep up with the tradition of scanning stuff, the book has been scanned from cover to cover.
Enjoy....

D163 TheEvilTwin (TempoBooks_Balaji Part 1 of 2)
D164 NardaAndTheSheik(TempoBooks_Balaji Part 2 of 2)

  13. Excellent. I think both Falk and Fredricks were at their best during seventies.

After a change in teriff plan, big file size is no more a concern for me. :-)

  15. @Aditya: You are welcome...wanted to make 99th & 100th post like terminator & T2..let's see if I can do that
@Ajay: You are welcome. You are a very generous fan. Glad to hear your appreciation. It did take some effort some hours in scanning, cleaning/trimming pictures, uploading to Imageshack (sometimes very slow) and mediafire and then creating the post in blogger. Really, one has to have lot of time and patience in doing these big posts. I ask myself has it been worth what I did sometimes. Don't know how long I can continue...(100th post has already taken so much time). I don't know how you were able to scan 100s of Indrajals. Hats off to U.
    @Deb: You are welcome. Enjoy.
@Deratt1: You are welcome. Enjoy. I wanted to see a paperback myself, never had one until now.
Hope to get most of the Kitchen stuff done. Let's hope. Thanks.
@TPH: ou are welcome. Enjoy. You are right, I agree. Thanks for the PDF on Keeping track of Indrajals on different blogs. Also, please do not quit scanning the Amar Chitra Katha so soon. Just saw ur blog. Please wait till u get to 100so that my collection will include ACKs. :-) My friends were so happy to hear about the ACK blog, mentioned it in a few get togethers here.
@Comic60: You are welcome. Enjoy. U r right, just one more run...Hope I do not get out.

  23. Derek 'asks' Mandrake to take away his powers...in 1949

wow!!!! I never imagined 'such' things.....as like thie posted D163,Derek always shown as a power-hunry greedy person...like some later strips in '90s too!

Even later,Fredricks made him such a heart-less person who went to kill his brother Mandarke(Seize of Xanadu:D232)....SO,such a vintage strip, where Derek himself asked for taking away his pwer...wud b exciting to read!! :-))
