#074: S026 The Garden of Wuzzu 30 Jan 1944 to 21 May 1944

Here is the First Story of the Sundays Pioneer Book Volume 1. This volume has 6 stories.
I scanned this in high resolution some time ago. At the time, I got this book through an interlibrary loan and was able to keep for two weeks. The first few pages have an interview with Mr. Lee Falk. Enjoy.

I am a big fan of Mandrake and I liked very much all these Sunday Strips.

Both art (drawings) and story (scripts) are fantastic, wonderful, with plenty of different things: travels, meetings with different people, culture, etc.

Of course, these strips lack color (like one French reprint from the end of the 70s) and I like colors. But: better black and white than... nothing.

And, for the people who do not like this Pioneer reprint: propose your own scans ;)

There was a Mandrake and The Phantom color reprint (in color, large sheets, probably A3 or greater) in France by Editions des Remparts (Lyon) from the Sunday story #1 till the end of the 40s, followed by a smaller (A4 ?) reprint on better paper...

I have them, but they are not available (in a storage bin, more than 1,000 Km away from me) and I never tried to scan them (not time and I didn't have an A3 scan). Else, I shared them.

Is there someone with these reprints on digital form ? Wonder to share them ?

PS: You do not read French ? Not a problem, get the US reprints (or UK, India, ...) and you will understand the stories :)

I have see the books you are referring. Send me an email and I can send you the scans. I was desparately looking for the Mandrake Sundays in English, and got a very good deal on Ebay 5 Mandrake Sundays from Pioneer in Mint Condition!!! My joy knew no bounds.
