Again, I could not wait for the download link to read this story! Crystal clear scans and a great story-- what more could we want? These early Mandrake strips seem to have a special energy to them, and I can't get enough. Thanks for sharing with this world-wide army of Mandrake fans!

Thanks for quickly posting the download link. Enjoye the comic.
Although it is not ideal and may not be liked by all (ICC for instance) comment moderation seems to be the only way in which flthy language and personal attacks can be kept out of the blog.
If I am not wrong, because it is moderated people may tend to use proper language because they know the blog owner may not approve it.
After having spent a few minutes on writing a comment one would like to see it published!

Thanks again.

Really nice story. And because you are posting consecutive stories, there is continuity as well.

Is there a page missing here? The strip on 20th August, 1944 seems to be missing.

These early vintage strips are itself a joy to read as reading the 'primitive' adventures of Mandrake and Lothar are just like to witness the 'growth' of them.

Thanks for these classics. They are truly great to read. Scan quality is excellent. I wonder how you maintained the file size under 8MB even with such high level of scans.

deratt1: You are welcome. I like the spirit. That's what I would like to hear. If fans can get together and scan the strips or books that they come across, there will be a huge library to read.
@Grimgrom: You are welcome. First time even I read this, did not know it existed.
@comic60: You are welcome. More coming along soon.
@GS: You are welcome. Implemented your suggestion. I agree fully. Since, the blog is viewed by people all over the world, would like to keep it clean for people to enjoy this blog.
@ICC: I think so. Gave these scans to you with DC++, check it out, had missed a page before.
@Chatur Cheeta: You are welcome. Glad you feel that way.
@Anon: You are welcome. Keep visiting daily, increase the number of hits & visits on my blog.
@col. weeks: You are welcome. Glad you liked it. I wish Col. Worubu was here as well.
@Lucky: You are welcome. Thanks for noticing it. I was glad I have the physical book now. When I scanned it was doing the scans at 1AM, so missed a page.
@nithish/Gowtham: You are welcome.
@Chandan: You are welcome. More coming soon.
@CW: You are right, that's my thoughts too.
@skylab:You are welcome. More coming soon.
@TPH: You are welcome. I have a few tricks to doing that. The orig file size for each page is 3-4 MB. When I upload to Imageshack, I chose to resize the image to 21" monitor, as I figure people owning these bigger screens, would want to see them as clearly as possible. Ola! I was able to get the image to about 600KB without loss in clarity!!.
